This country is not very interested in soccer, and like the USA the word 'football' does not mean the same thing here as in most of the world. Here 'football' is rugby, and so we have to use the word soccer to refer to the beautiful game. The game between New Zealand and Slovakia was not exactly a beautiful game. The English lecture this afternoon was cancelled and so I have a little extra time, which I will use to write up my unit plan on The Sea for Junior English. We were told that we ought to stick to one aspect for the unit, but a novel for four to six weeks, or a poem for that length of time, or writing for four weeks seems silly. The week seems to have flown by. Oh yes, there were only four days in the week, so yes it did fly.
